WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is set to enhance its user interface with a redesigned settings screen for improved user experience. The app’s beta version for iOS, specifically version 23.17.1.70, has been released to select beta testers via the TestFlight app, offering them a preview of the revamped settings page.
This change involves replacing the traditional settings tab with a new “You” tab, displaying the user’s profile photo prominently, simplifying account switching, especially with the upcoming multi-account feature for iOS.
Additionally, three new entry points have been introduced to facilitate access to privacy settings, contacts, and the user’s profile, while a shortcut allows easy viewing and sharing of personal QR Codes. Further interface improvements are anticipated in subsequent updates.
This revamped settings interface is currently accessible to a limited group of beta testers, with plans to expand availability in the coming weeks. In a related update, Meta introduced an HD-quality photo-sharing feature for WhatsApp users to send high-resolution images, reflecting the company’s commitment to enhancing user engagement.
