Nandini Reddy’s latest cinematic creation, Maa Inti Bangaaram, starring the dazzling Samantha Ruth Prabhu, burst into theaters last Friday, capturing the hearts of moviegoers nationwide. This delightful film swiftly emerged as Samantha’s most successful solo venture, charming audiences throughout its debut weekend.
As expected, the film experienced a usual dip as Monday rolled around, yet it retained its enchanting allure. On this first weekday, Maa Inti Bangaaram added a remarkable ₹3.41 crore net to its domestic treasure chest, bringing the total bounty to an impressive ₹26.51 crore, according to the trade website Sacnilk. With an occupancy rate of 27.4% across 2768 shows, the movie continued to draw eager crowds.
Opening day saw the film gross ₹5.35 crore, while the weekend further catapulted its success, raking in ₹7.65 crore on Saturday and a whopping ₹10.10 crore on Sunday. Though also released in Tamil as Engal Thangam, the film truly found its stride with Telugu audiences.
Helmed by the talented Nandini Reddy and produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Raj Nidimoru, and Himank Reddy Duvvuru under the Tralala Moving Pictures banner, Maa Inti Bangaaram is a tapestry of storytelling brilliance. Raj Nidimoru penned this captivating tale, with screenplay support from Vasanth Maringanti and Prahas Boppudi.
Samantha shines as the film’s lead, accompanied by a stellar ensemble cast including Gulshan Devaiah, Manjusha Mukkavilli, Diganth Manchale, Gautami, and Sreemukhi. This film marks the third collaboration between Nandini and Samantha, following their previous hits Jabardasth (2013) and Oh! Baby (2019).
