Farah Khan discusses content creation at Edits Film Festival

The Edits Film Festival concluded today in Mumbai with filmmaker Farah Khan in attendance, along with festival judges Ahsaas Channa, Dolly Singh, Nikhil Taneja, Rajeev Masand, and more than 100 content creators. The festival honored Ishank Gupta (@filmmaker.ishank), Sanya Rohillaa (@bunniestbunnytoeverbunnny), and Ahsan Vazir (@ahsan_vazir__) for their exceptional storytelling and use of the Edits app for editing their content.

Highlight Submissions from the Festival

The festival began accepting submissions in August, inviting creators to submit content crafted from raw videos on their camera roll and edited with Edits, Instagram’s video editing application. Over a period of 45 days, participants showcased their creativity, with the top submissions demonstrating an impressive blend of adventure, restraint, and skill. The jury selected three standout entries for their diverse storytelling and innovative use of Edits features.

The top three creators—Ishank Gupta (@filmmaker.ishank), Sanya Rohillaa (@bunniestbunnytoeverbunnny), and Ahsan Vazir (@ahsan_vazir__)—were praised for their originality. The winners were chosen by judges Ahsaas Channa, Dolly Singh, Nikhil Taneja, and Rajeev Masand.

“Providing creators with the right tools, platforms, and opportunities is vital to our mission,” said Ankit Rihal, Head of Global Partnerships, Meta, India. “The festival inspired new creative possibilities, encouraging creators to experiment with unused features and tell stories in innovative ways. We are grateful to our jury members and Farah Khan for sharing their invaluable insights.”
