Bollywood actor and Indian MP Sunny Deol recently faced a bank auction notice for his Juhu bungalow in Mumbai, aiming to recover Rs 56 crore, but the bank’s reversal of its decision brought relief. The Bank of Baroda, which had issued the notice, later retracted it, citing “technical reasons.” Sunny Deol had been in default of a Rs 55.99 crore loan from the bank since December 2022. The auction was initially set for August 25, with a starting bid of Rs 51.43 crore and a minimum bid of Rs 5.14 crore for the property named Sunny Villa.
The bungalow’s auction also included the adjacent property, Sunny Sounds, a company owned by the Deol family, acting as a corporate guarantor for the loan. Dharmendra, Sunny Deol’s father and an actor-politician, stood as the personal guarantor.
Amid these financial concerns, Sunny Deol marked his return to the big screen with “Gadar 2,” a highly successful film that has captured audiences’ hearts across the nation. The movie’s impressive performance and reception have added a positive note to Deol’s career.
